Coming off a loss against archrival Ateneo, La Salle mounted its bounce-back win against Far Eastern University, 25-5, 25-23, 25-23, to start the second round on a high note, March 8, Wednesday at the FilOil Flying-V Arena in San Juan.

Rarely do you see the defending champion in back-to-back losses, so it is definitely a bad news for every team if they will go up against a La Salle squad that is coming off a loss.

It was a shocking first set for FEU as they only registered 5 points, two came from their own while the other three were from the unforced errors of La Salle.

La Salle, however, continued to be haunted in their problems in closing out the set as they were leading in the next two sets only for the lead to be trimmed down to a single point.

Fortunately for the Lady Spikers, Remy Palma committed a crucial service error in the second set while they got the third set with the off-the-block hit ofTin Tiamzon.

Desiree Cheng, Tin Tiamzon, and Aduke Ogunsanya stepped up for La Salle, all finishing in double-digits. Kim Dy and Majoy Baron chipped in 9 and 5 points respectively.

No Lady Tamaraw was able to score more than 9 points as the top scorer of FEU Bernadette Pons was held down to just 8.

Player of the Game: Kim Fajardo, 44 excellent sets and 1 point
