By Ardyn Gonzales

The National Univesity Lady Bulldogs made quick work of the Adamson University Lady Falcons, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18, in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament, Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

NU earned their eleventh win this season, assuring them of at least a playoff game for the twice-to-beat advantage.

Still undefeated in the second round of eliminations, the Lady Bulldogs were in full control of the match as they dominated the entire game with the triumvirate Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen, and Vange Alinsug leading the pack.

The second stringer also showed action especially in the third set, with Myrtle Escanlar owning the match-clinching point.

Solomon topscored for the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points on 12 attacks. Belen also had 14 markers on top of five excellent receptions.

Meanwhile, no Adamson player finished in double-digits as Ayesha Juegos only scored team-high eight points. The Lady Falcons suffered their ninth loss with a 3-9 card.
