Manila, Philippines – Prince Eze was right were he was supposed to be when the buzzer went off, as he tipped in the winning shot to defeat Lyceum of the Philippines, 83-81, Friday in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Eze shocked everyone as he ended Lyceum’s long running 30-game winning streak in the elimination round since last season.

Down four points in under two minutes left in the game, Edgar Charcos made back-to-back baskets for Altas that tied the game at 81-all.

Charcos forced MJ Ayaay a turnover to give Rey Peralta a chance to secure the win with a triple, ticks left.

The ball bounced from the basket and Eze was perfectly under the basket that he took hold of the ball and tipped it in before the buzzer went off which sealed the win.

Eze had a double-double record of 25 points and 23 rebounds on top of two blocks, while Charcos finished with 20 points.

On the other hand, Jaycee Marcelino had 16 points for Lyceum, who suffered their first elimination loss since their game against College of St. Benilde in Season 92.

They now lost the chance to an outright finals berth.
