Manila, Philippines – The Far Eastern University is not yet done in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament.

The Tamaraws took to their advantage the absence of stalwarts Jerrick Ahanmisi and Sean Manganti to win against the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 82-56, on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

With the win, FEU Tams ended their elimination round campaign on a high note with an 8-6 win-loss card, forcing a do-or-die game against De La Salle University on Wednesday for the final spot in the Final Four.

FEU immediately banked on a 14-0 run to start the game, capped off by a booming triple from Wendell Comboy.

Adamson struggled from the field and even missed crucial rebounds that gave the Tamaraws more chance of putting scores inside the basket.

Without the presence of its key players, the Soaring Falcons failed to retaliate as FEU easily cruised to stretch the lead by as much as 36 points.

FEU limited the Soaring Falcons to only 29.7 percent shooting in the field.

Comboy led the Tams with 11 points and four rebounds, while Arvin Tolentino finished with 10 markers and five boards in the win.

On the other hand, already No. 2 seed Adamson was led by Jerom Lastimosa with 11 points and four boards.

Adamson, who also has a twice-to-beat advantage in their hands, will face the emerging University of the Philippines on Saturday for their first match-up in the Final Four.
