San Beda dumps Jose Rizal anew

Manila, Philippines – San Beda University bombed Jose Rizal University again as the Red Lions exploded for a 73-45 win on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

After a victorious outing last Tuesday, 77-40, San Beda ended the match with a 28-point lead to extend their wins to nine in 10 games.

The Red Lions was hot on their heels as they took a 13-0 run. The Heavy Bombers only managed to answer back with four points in the latter part of the first quarter.

Jose Rizal did not stood a chance until the last minutes of the game as the Red Lions extended their lead to as much as 29 points.

Robert Bolick once again, led San Beda with a double-double record of 14 points, 12 rebounds on top of five assists.

Jeramer Cabanag and AC Soberano combined for 17 points, while Donald Tankoua chipped in seven markers for the win.

On the other hand, Jed Mendoza had 13 points, but it was still not enough for the Heavy Bombers as they slumped to a 2-8 win-loss record.
