Manila, Philippines – Robert Bolick is nowhere close to 50 points this time, but neither is Jose Rizal University.

Despite the absence of stalwart Bolick inside the court, the San Beda University nabbed their eight straight win in the tournament as they crippled Jose Rizal University, 77-40, in the NCAA Season 94 senior’s basketball tournament on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

With only 17 minutes of play, Bolick finished the game with four points.

But the rest of the Red Lions managed to whip the Heavy Bombers on their own.

San Beda was already hot on their heels from the get go and never lost their footing in the match. They even limited Jose Rizal to only five points in the third quarter that extended their lead to 26.

Calvin Oftana rose up for the Red Lions and finished with 16 points, while AC Soberana had 11 markers as San Beda remains at the second spot in the standings with an 8-1 slate.

On the other hand, Karl Bordon had nine points, while Jed Mendoza chipped in seven for the Heavy Bombers’ seventh loss in the season.

Jose Rizal is not tied with Emilio Aguinaldo College and Mapua University with a 2-7 slate.
