The Jose Rizal University bounced back after back-to-back defeats and whipped the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, 85-52 on Friday in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Limiting the Altas with only 15 points in the first half, the Heavy Bombers depended on their steady defense and help them seal the win.

“It’s our defense na nag-carry sa amin kanina,” said Coach Vergel Meneses. “Actually sa game na ito importante yung finu-frustrate mo yung kalaban and then to finish strong.”

The Heavy Bombers continued to power through the game, with Abdoul Poutouochi and MJ Dela Virgen, JRU extended their lead to as much as 35 points, 83-48.
