The Adamson University Lady Falcons swept the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons for their second straight win this season, 25-9, 27-25, 25-20 in UAAP Women’s Volleyball, Wednesday at FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Coming off a big win against FEU last Saturday, Adamson was able to extend their winning streak.

The Lady Falcons stunned the floor defense of the Lady Maroons in the first set with eight service aces, six of which came from the veteran Mylene Paat.

UP tried to regain control in the second frame when they tied the game at 23-all. Joy Dacoron brought Adamson to set point, but Chiara Permentilla was blocked at the net. Dacoron pulled off another quick hit for the Lady Falcons, but Isa Molde kept the Lady Maroons alive.

Permentilla’s attack gave the third set point for Adamson, but it was UP’s own error that gave the Lady Falcons the set.

Adamson sustained their momentum in the third set and eventually got their second straight win this season.

Former team captain Mylene Paat led the Lady Falcons with 15 points. With Jema Galanza and Joy Dacoron teaming up with 25 markers.

Only Tots Carlos was in double-digits for UP with 12 points. The Lady Maroons gave away 17 service aces in this match.
