San Sebastian bounces back with win over JRU

Manila, Philippines – San Sebastian is back on the winning column after defeating Jose Rizal University, 86-76 in the NCAA Season 94 senior’s basketball tournament, Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Golden Stags dominated the game from start to finish, disabling the Heavy Bombers to put the game to their advantage.

Off the bench, Alvin Capobres stunned the arena, as he led San Sebastian with his best game after scoring 13 of his 16 points in the second quarter, that helped Baste keep a comfortable lead in the second quarter, 51-34.

On top of his game-high record of 16 points, Capobres also tallied six rebounds, three assists and one steal. His wingman Allyn Bulanadi chipped in 14 points, six boards and one steal.

Michael Calisaan added a double-double recors of 10 points and 13 rebounds that helped the Golden Stags climb the team standings with a 2-2 win-loss record.

On the other team, MJ Dela Virgen continues to lead the pack with 14 points, five assists and five steals. Heavy Bombers remain winless in three games.
