Sharpshooting forward Mac Belo was the hero of the game after the FEU Tamaraws defeated the defending champions DLSU Green Archers in a do-or-die Final Four game yesterday at the Araneta Coliseum.

With 1.5 seconds left, point guard Mike Tolomia found Belo open lurking in the corner that eventually sinked the dagger three-pointer giving FEU the win.

“Nung puntong ‘yon, sabi ni coach (Nash Racela) sa corner lang ako. Nakita ko si (Jason) Perkins nakaabang kay Mike (Tolomia) so sabi ko ipapasa n’ya talaga sa akin,” explains Belo.

However, Belo remains humble dedicating his last shot to the man upstairs. “(That was an) unforgettable moment. ‘Yung last shot ko dedicated ko kay Lord talaga,” he added.

The championship stage is now set with the Tamaraws facing-off against the gritty NU Bulldogs squad in the Finals. Game 1 of their best-of-three series will be on Saturday at the MOA Arena.
