Manila, Philippines – Lyceum of the Philippines University remains unbeaten in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament as they withstood Jose Rizal University late in the game, 82-74, Friday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Without Jaycee Marcelino, who missed the game due to some illness, the Pirates surely had a hard time extinguishing the fire of the Bombers.

Down five points in the last seven minutes of the game, CJ Perez and MJ Ayaay did not give up and combined for back-to-back baskets that led the Pirates for a 13-0 run, 76-68.

Lyceum never looked back as they clinched their 11th consecutive win and 29th victory in the elimination round, which dates back from last season.

Perez finished with a double-double record of 30 points and 16 rebounds on top of three steals and an assist, while Ayaay had 12 markers and seven boards.

Cameroonian Mike Nzeusseu chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds.
