Manila, Philippines – After three long years, Colegio de San Juan de Letran is back in the Final Four race after ousting San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 79-61, in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Letran secured their place in the Final Four as they improved to a 14-4 win-loss record. This is the first time that Letran joined the semis ladder since 2015.

The Knights exploded from the get-go and extended their lead from nine-points to 17 at the half, 42-25.

San Sebastian tried to make a run for it late in the third quarter behind big man RK Ilagan, who shot nine of his 13 points in that period alone to cut the deficit to seven, 59-52.

However, Larry Muyang saw what needed to be done and led his teammates to a 13-2 run that stretched their lead back to a double-digit 18 points for a 72-54 score.

They never looked back from there and clinched the must-needed win to secure their spot in the Final Four.

Muyang led Letran with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Bonbon Batiller also had 15 markers.

Meanwhile, Michael Calisaan flirted with a double-double as well, 16 points and nine rebounds, but it was not enough to lift them up from a 4-12 slate.
