Manila, Philippines – Adamson University has opened their wings once again as they soared past National University with a 69-58 win in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After two consecutive losses in the tournament, Adamson is back on their winning ways as they improved their record to 6-2 and shares the top spot with defending champs Ateneo De Manila University.

The Soaring Falcons looked to clinch the win easily thanks to a dominating first half, 42-23, but the Red Warriors answered back in the third quarter.

UE outscored Adamson, 22-12 and cut the deficit to seven points to open the payoff period, 54-47.

Sean Manganti, however, stepped up and paved the way for the Falcons and dropped a triple to extend their lead back to a double-digit, 57-47. This boosted Adamson to continue their sweet shooting skills and strong defense to outrun the Warriors in the rest of the game.
