CEBU CITY—Madridejos kept its immaculate slate intact after it whipped Tabogon, 102-90 in the Fourth District action of the 2019 Cebu Governor’s Cup Under-21 Inter-Cities and Municipalities Basketball Tournament at the Madridejos Sports Complex on Saturday, March 23.
Clint Eduard Niedo fired 23 points, Bernie Felicidario unloaded 18 and Alfonso Quijano Jr. delivered 17 as Madridejos inched closer to securing a quarterfinals berth with its third win in as many games.
Chalking up their own victories in the Fourth District were San Remigio and Bogo City as the former tripped Sta. Fe, 81-77, and the latter downed Tabuelan, 78-68.
In the first district, Naga City improved to 3-1 (win-loss) by beating San Fernando, 73-67, while Carcar snatched its second win in four outings by blasting Sibonga, 78-61.
Samboan remained unstoppable in the second district as it surged to its fourth victory in as many starts as they drubbed Alcoy, 93-79.
Santander, on the other hand, finally made it to the win column after it edged out Boljoon, 70-68.
Santander climbed to 1-3, while Boljoon crashed to 09-4.
Tuburan snagged its third win against a single loss via a 106-75 spanking of the Barili in the third district.
