Adeogun leads San Beda get back at St. Benilde

Defending champions San Beda Red Lions headed by Ola Adeogun got back at their first round tormentors College of St Benilde, 78-54, in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the San Juan Arena.

A blistering 32-3 run bridging the 2nd and 3rd quarter gave San Beda their biggest lead, 46-23 behind the efforts of Baser Amer and seldom used Van Abatayo, who had three 3 pointers. San Beda Red Lions starting center had a dominating performance scoring 28 points, grabbing 16 rebounds and swatting two shots.

Paolo Taha led the Blazers with 12 points.

With the win, San Beda stays on top of the team standings at 10-2, while CSB slid to fifth sporting a 7-5 card.
