The FEU Tamaraws are no strangers to bad starts. In fact, it was also the case earlier when the came from behind in an important 74-70 win over defending champs La Salle Green Archers.

It was a tale of two halves.

The Archers dominated the first two quarters led by Finals MVP Jeron Teng who had another outstanding game with 28 points and 8 rebounds.

The Tamaraws came back with a vengeance in the 2nd half and slowly took the lead in a back-and-forth manner.

In the dying seconds of the game, FEU was leading with only a point. Mike Tolomia, who was still recovering from a flu, got fouled and splits a pair of freethrows but the ball bounced right back at him and eventually scored a put back bucket to seal the game for FEU.

Tolomia led the Tamaraws with 22 points (19 in the 2nd half), and alongside him is Mac Belo with 11.

With this win, FEU gets solo #1 spot in the standings with 8-2. While DLSU, ADMU, and NU are in a triple-tie in 2nd with 7-3.
