Former ONE Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon spearheads Team Lakay’s comeback in a pre-recorded ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III, as he will fight against Brazilian John “Hands of Stone” Lineker in a mix martial arts fight.
Belingon, who sits as the top contender in the bantamweight division is currently on a comeback trail after losing his belt to Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes last year.
However, “The Silencer”, who also holds the most win via knockout in the bantamweight division at six will be up against a fellow knockout artist Lineker.
“Hands of Stone” (32-9 win-loss record) quickly rose up the ranking with his latest fight coming off a unanimous decision win against Muin “Tajik” Gafurov last October 2019.
Lineker also aims for the gold and hopes to use Belingon as the stepping stone in his venture.
But for Belingon, winning over the no. 5 contender Lineker will earn him a shot at the belt in order to complete his redemption.
Another Team Lakay fighter, former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio will co-main event the third part of Inside the Matrix.
Eustaquio will finally make a long-awaited resurgence after a knockout (spinning back kick) win over long-time rival Toni “Dynamite” Tauru, November last year.
“Gravity” aims to stop the momentum of “Running Man” Song Min Jong, a South Korean Mixed Martial Arts Champion who is riding a four-bout winning streak coming into the fight.
Also, Team Lakay’s new phenom Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang is scheduled for a comeback alongside his stablemates.
The two-time Philippine National Wushu Champion Adiwang will take on Shooto Champion Hiroba Minowa of Japan in a strawweight mix martial arts fight.
Minowa rides a three consecutive win while Adiwang is glides in a bigger wave of seven consecutive victories, six of which is by submission or knockout.
Following Eduard “Landslide” Folayang’s unanimous decision loss in Inside the Matrix I, Belingon, Eustaquio and Adiwang are seeking revenge and aims to re-establish the might of Philippines’ most elite mix martial arts stable Team Lakay.
ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III is a pre-recorded event in Singapore Indoor Stadium and will be broadcasted worldwide on Friday, November 13.
