The outpouring support for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games turned up a notch as they signed up a partnership with Vietnam’s leading battery manufacturer Pinaco, with just a month remaining before the opening ceremonies in November.
Both PINACO and PHISGOC signed a platinum partnership agreement last Thursday at the Shangri-La at the Fort, which was brokered by MediaPro Asia.
“Since our last partnership announcement, we are excited to once again have another partner on board for the SEA Games. With PINACO, this opens up the Vietnamese market for us, and we are hoping that this would be the first of many other collaborations with PINACO,” said MediaPro Asia’s Managing Director Lars Heidenreich in a statement.
Pinaco is a staple in ASEAN events, most notably in the two recent stagings of the AFF Suzuki Cup, and they will use the 30th SEA Games as a leverage in the lead up to the 2021 edition which will be held in Vietnam.
“It is such a great honour and pride for PINACO to be one of the official Platinum Partners of this event in the hopes of contributing to the success of the Games, especially given that the 30th SEA Games is the largest sports event in the region,” said Tran Thanh Van, General Director of PINACO.
PHISGOC chair and House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano thanked the inclusion of PINACO as a proof of the country’s hosting of the 30th edition.
“The overwhelming support of international brands boosts our efforts to facilitate our preparations and inspire us to work even harder every day,” he said in a statement.
