CEBU CITY–The University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters boosted their twice-to-beat bid in the Final Four after they scored a 79-62 win over the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers in the college division of the 2019 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) men’s basketball tournament at the Cebu Coliseum last Thursday, October 24.

The Webmasters now have a 6-3 (win-loss) card, good for third place.

Three-time defending champion University of the Visayas (UV) also sports a 6-3 slate but UC moved ahead after sweeping the Green Lancers in the elimination round.

The ever-productive Tosh Sesay powered the Webmasters with 27 points, 23 rebounds and six blocked shots, while Shane Menina chipped in 23 markers and seven assists.

Sameen Swint tallied 13 markers for USPF, which dropped to 3-8.

The Final Four cast has already been set but the two crucial twice-to-beat incentives are still being tightly contested.

The Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras are on top of the standings with seven wins and two losses, while the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors are at close second place with a 7-3 record.
