Lakers nip Nuggets, near NBA Finals

Anthony Davis fired 34 points, LeBron James scored 28 points and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets, 114-108, to take a commanding 3-1 series lead in their Western Conference Finals on Friday, September 25.

The prolific Lakers duo asserted their might in Game 4 with James flirting with triple-double after also tallying nine rebounds and eight assists.

Davis added five boards, three assists and three steals.

Davis and James got plenty of help with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dwight Howard, Kyle Kuzma and Rajon Rondo also scoring in twin digits.

Pope scored 13 points, Howard finished with a double-double of 12 and 11 rebounds, Rondo tallied 11 and Kuzma had 120.

Jamal Murray scored 32 points to lead the Nuggets, who failed to make it back-to-back after winning Game 3, 114-105.
