ABL postpones 15 games due to nCoV

By Kevin Estrada

The ASEAN Basketball League has decided to reschedule fifteen of its games due to the travel restrictions brought by the outbreak of the 2019 novel Coronavirus (nCoV) in certain countries.

In an email sent by CEO Jericho Ilagan, those games covered the period between February 8 and March 1, with the non-ASEAN based teams covered the bulk of the postponed games.

Two of those, Hong Kong Eastern and Formosa Dreamers, are the most affected of the postponement, with the former seeing all of their five away games being scratched for a moment. The Taiwanese side had all four home games being affected.

Also, Thailand’s Mono Vampire and Vietnam’s Saigon Heat will have to wait as their respective pair of homestands will be moved as well.

With that said, the February schedule of San Miguel Alab Pilipinas will have one less game on it, as the league postpones its supposed first meeting with the Macau Black Bears on February 16 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
