PASAY City – MILO Philippines had joined forces with the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee for their upcoming campaign for the 30th edition that the country will be hosting on Thursday morning at the Conrad Hotel Manila
With no less than House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano in the event as the chairman of PHISGOC in attendance, the event was a huge boost for the host nation as it gears for the biggest edition of the biennial multi-sport meet as it powers the entire contingent in its aim to regain the overall title it last won since its last staging here 14 years ago where the Philippines hauled 113 golds to runaway with the top spot.
“As our athletes and local sports communities continued to work hard in the preparation of the SEA Games, we want to help energize the country to cheer them on and let them know that we are all with them in defending our home court, win or lose,” said Nestle Philippines Vice President Veronica Cruz.
Joining Cayetano and Cruz are volleyball star Alyssa Valdez, cager Kiefer Ravena and taekwondo jin Pauline Lopez, all alumnus of Milo’s grassroots sports programs.
In his part, Philippine Sports Commission chair and SEA Games delegation chief Butch Ramirez thanked their counterparts in its continued commitment in building champions from within.
“In this significant time for Philippine sports, we must push all our endeavors to its advancement,” he said in a statement.
