Manila, Philippines – Fans and spectators might have thought they’ve seen it all, but Robert Bolick continues to surprise everyone.
After their first loss in the season, Bolick lifted San Beda University back on its winning ways after defeating Arellano University, 98-79, in the NCAA Season 94 senior’s basketball tournament on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
The Chiefs thought they had it going in the second half as they led by a slim three point advantage midway in the third quarter. But Bolick fired up and boosted his teammates for an 18-4 run that gave San Beda a 68-57 comfortable cushion.
The Red Lions never looked back as Bolick dropped all his 37 points in the second half that put San Beda back on their groove and gained their seventh win in the season.
Bolick shot 18-of-25 from the field and 9-of-9 from the free throw line as he finished with his career-high 50 points along with four rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Javee Mocon chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds, while Donald Tankoua added 13 markers and five boards.
Michael Canete had 24 points for Arellano as they dropped to a 3-5 slate in the tournament.
