Manila, Philippines – University of Perpetual Help defeated Emilio Aguinaldo College in a highly physical game in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament, 81-67, on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Perpetual remained their composure all throughout the first half and led by a slim two points, 37-35. However, sweat and blood were all over the court as the match-up between Perpetual and EAC turned too physical coming into the second half.

Lots of fouls were called, including that of a bloody collision between Jethro Mendoza and Renz Gonzales.

Hamadou Laminou was even escorted out of the court after Perpetual’s Jerome Pasia landed his knee on Laminou’s head in the last 22 seconds in the third quarter.

With Laminou out of the game, the Generals tried their best to keep them at bay with the Altas, but Perpetual saw the opportunity and stretched their lead to as much as 12 points in the third, 61-49.

Edgar Charcos and Prince Eze knocked down several baskets in the payoff period that completely left the Generals behind, as the Altas sealed their sixth consecutive win.
