Denver Nuggets Guard Monte Morris, NBA Legend Muggsy Bogues and the Toronto Raptors’ Mascot, the Raptor are here in Manila to headline this year’s NBA 3X Philippines. Pinoy hoops fans will once again experience top notch 3-on-3 hoops action and entertainment at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall this weekend.
Prior to the event, Monte Morris shared some of his thoughts during an interview session with the local media about the Denver Nuggets’ playoff run last season
“I think honestly, we are all brought in; we didn’t have any egos on the team,” Morris said. “We all have one goal. We have a great coaching staff and we’re in great position – always had the best game plan possible. We had to compete every single night at a high level.”
The Nuggets’ Guard dropped some very notable names when asked about forming his own 3-on-3 team.
“Me, Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar) and LeBron (James),” he paused before hesitantly finishing his sentence with a shy smile. “… and (Michael) Jordan.”
Morris has a very positive outlook for his team as the Denver Nuggets prepare for the upcoming 2019-2020 NBA Season.
“I think the sky’s the limit. I thought we put it all together, had the same approach as last year,” the Grand Rapids, Michigan native said. “Just knowing that we had so much success and having that playoffs stage, you know we gotta take it to another level now. No excuses. We gotta win, we control our own destiny.”
