The Philippines finished fourth in the AFF Women’s Championship after bowing to Myanmar, 0-3 to wrap up their campaign in Chonburi, Thailand last Tuesday afternoon.
It was the same old story of second half meltdown for Let Dimzon’s Malditas as the Burmese fired three goals in the space of nine minutes, the first two of which came in just 120 seconds to take the final place in the podium.
Yee Yee Oo scored first in the 63rd minute following her shot from the outside, in which substitute Nu Nu doubled it just two minutes later for a 2-0 lead before completing her brace from a mix-up in the six yard box in the 71st.
The Malditas were not given favors in from the officials itself, as their shouts on a penalty after Quinley Quezada fall to deaf ears six minutes before full-time.
