Lakers near NBA crown with hard-earned Game 4 win

The Los Angeles Lakers need just one more win to cop the 2020 NBA crown after they survived the Miami Heat, 102-96, in Game 4 of their best-of-seven title series on Wednesday, October 7.

Quick to bounce back from their 104-115 loss in Game 3, the Lakers proved to be the steadier team in the endgame and went on to post a commanding 3-1 series lead.

LeBron James once again flirted with a triple-double, leading the Lakers with 28 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and a steal.

Anthony Davis scored 22 points and nailed a booming triple that gave the Lakers a crucial 110-91 lead with 39.5 seconds left.

Davis also had nine rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots and a steal.

Davis also helped slow down Miami’s Jimmy Butler, who was limited to 22 points after exploding for 40 in Game 3.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope  provided the Lakers an added scoring punch as he chipped in 15 points. Danny Green added 10 markers for the Lakers.

Miami’s Bam Adebayo returned from a two-game absence and tallied 15 points, seven boards, one assist and a steal.

Tyler Herro scored 20 points for the Heat, while Duncan Robinson added 17.
