Not yet dropping a set again after losing to UP, De La Salle University defeated luckless University of the East, 25-18, 25-14, 25-16, to notch their third straight win in the UAAP season 79 women’s volleyball, Sunday, February 26 at the FilOil Flying-V Arena in San Juan.
Kim Dy and Tin Tiamzon led the way for La Salle, combining for 20 out of the 37 attacks of the Lady Spikers.
Although UE had a good reception, thanks to the 17 excellent receptions of Kath Arado, they were not able to convert much of it to attacks as they only had 21 successful attacks out of 66 attempts.
Shaya Adorador once again had a poor performance and was subbed out in the third set, finishing only with 4 markers,
La Salle now has a 5-1 slate and is looking to be on top of the standings after the much-awaited rematch of the Finals against Ateneo on March 4. While one team between UE and Adamson will get their first win as they go up against each other on March 5.
Player of the Game: Tin Tiamzon, 11 points (9 attacks and 2 blocks)
