Kiefer Ravena once again led the Ateneo Blue Eagles to a victory. This time, the Blue Eagles went through a tough assignment when they faced the pesky UE Red Warriors.
Both teams were on fire from start to finish.
After a couple of bad games in their first few assignments, Charles Mammie seemed to have found his rhythm once again and dominated the paint for 18 points and 13 rebounds. Roi Sumang also exploded for 30 big points and 7 assists, while veteran hotshot Bong Gallanza contributed with 19 points of his own.
Kiefer Ravena, the leading MVP candidate, topped the stat sheets once again with his new career-high 38 points (7 in OT), 6 rebounds, and 9 assists. The hot-handed Von Pessumal added 19 points, and Chris Newsome with 18.
It has always been a classic when these two teams collide. The outcome of the game shows why. This, by the way, is the first ever game of the season that extended to overtime.
