The FEU Tamaraws handed the NU Bulldogs their second defeat of the season in a cardiac game after defeating them 71-62.

The first half was all FEU. The Tamaraws were everywhere and been dominating both ends. They’ve made a lot of stops and made the Bulldogs pay by hitting their shots which gave them a huge lead as much as 22 points. Carl Cruz had the hot hands during the opening minutes and has eventually led all scores with his career-high 16 points. Meanwhile, the Tams’ top guns Mike Tolomia and Mac Belo had a quiet night with 10 and 9 points respectively.

On the other hand, the NU Bulldogs dominated the 2nd half with a huge run outscoring the Tamaraws 40-29 in the final 2 quarters. NU shifted the momentum on their side with a couple of unanswered points and some stops but it seemed to be not enough to get the W.

Gelo Alolino was the only Bulldog to score in double figures with 13. Glenn Khobuntin also had a solid game with 9 points, and 8 rebounds.

The scores:

FEU (71) – Cruz 16, Inigo 14, Tolomia 10, Belo 9, Pogoy 6, Jose 6, Hargrove 5, Tamsi 5, Ru. Escoto 0, Dennison 0, Delfinado 0, Ugsang 0.
