Manila, Philippines – Veteran player JJ Domingo exploded his best game yet after leading College of St. Benilde defeat Emilio Aguinaldo College, 84-71, in the NCAA Season 94 senior’s basketball tournament on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
Domingo boosted his teammates take the much needed win with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists as they now stand with a 3-4 win-loss record in the tournament.
Down to two in the first quarter, the Blazers took a 13-0 run late in the second quarter capped off by a triple from Unique Naboa that turned into a 41-26 advantage.
The Blazers did not let go of their momentum, even when Cameroonian Clement Leutcheu got ejected from the game in the last quarter for two technical fouls. He is also facing suspension for their next game, because of an altercation with Generals’ Juju Bautista.
Leutcheu finished with nine points and four rebounds before getting ejected.
Yankie Haruna added 11 points for the win.
On the other hand, Bautista led the Generals with a double-double record of 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Hamadou Laminou had 13 markers and 13 boards as EAC dropped to a 2-5 slate.
