Manila – The Talk N’ Text TropangTexters listed their sixth straight victory in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup against Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 94-87, on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Gilas player Ranidel de Ocampo scored 19 of his 28 points in the first half. The Texters also started the game with multiple treys, stretching the lead to 12 at the end of 24 minutes, 40-52.

Ginebra got within four points, 85-89, in the last minute of the fourth period, but a Larry Fonacier triple gave the Texters a comfortable breathing room before De Ocampo sealed his team’s victory with a clutch layup.

Talk N’ Text import Richard Howell submitted 19 points, with Ryan Reyes and Jayson Castro registering 11 markers each.

Import Leon Rodgers led Ginebra with 32 points, while Mark Caguioa and Mac Baracael chipped 14 and 13, respectively.

Earlier, the Meralco Bolts came back from a 20-point deficit against the Air21 Express, 109-98.

Meralco import Brian Butch had an impressive afternoon, listing 40 markers and 31 boards. Together with Butch, Jared Dilinger led the scoring spree during the last period, and led the locals with 20 points.

Air21 import Wesley Witherspoon contributed 44 points, but his efforts were not enough, as Mark Cardona and AsiTaulava were the only locals with double-digit scores, chipping 22 and 11, respectively.
