MANILA, Philippines –San Sebastian College-Recoletos is in deep sorrow as they announced the death of San Sebastian College juniors player Miguel Bonalos last Sunday. He was only 20 years old.
“We extend our sincerest sympathy and deepest condolences to the family of Miguel Maurizio O. Bonalos. We pray that the Good God brings the Bonalos family peace, strength and comfort to their hearts during this hard time,” wrote the school in a Facebook post.
Bonalos, who had been a stalwart at a young age and averaged 5.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game with the Staglets in last year’s NCAA season, has died from cardiac arrest.
He had been diagnosed with a heart condition last year. His wake will be held on Wednesday at the Premier Room 1, Loyala Memorial Chapel, Commonwealth Avenue Quezon City
