Manila, Philippines – San Sebastian College-Recoletos finished their NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament campaign on a high note after winning against hapless Arellano University, 91-63, on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
The Stags ended the campaign with a 6-12 win-loss record and tied with Mapua University at sixth place overall.
Down by four points in the first quarter, Michael Calisaan, RK Ilagan and Allyn Bulanadi’s leadership paved the way for San Sebastian in the second period that turned the game on their side.
The trio combined for a total of 19 points in the second period that saw the Stags outscore the Chiefs, 35-12.
The Stags never looked back from there and cruised to winning the game after limiting Arellano to only 4-of-14 shooting. Baste also dominated in the rebounding area, 54-41.
Calisaan led San Sebastian with a double-double record of 24 points and 12 rebounds on top of thjree assists and three steals, while Ilagan finished with 13 points.
Bulanadi chipped in another double-double of 11 markers and 11 boards.
On the other hand, Rence Alcoriza finished with 17 points, while Michael Canete flirted with a double-double of 10 markers and nine boards as Arellano dropped to a 5-13 win-loss record.
