MANILA, Philippines – San Sebastian College-Recoletos defeats hapless Emilio Aguinaldo College for third win in a row, 86-65, Friday in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The force of the Golden Stags was too much to be reckoned with as they took an early 9-0 run in the first quarter. Though the Generals managed to cut down the deficit to six, 23-17, San Sebastian would only continue its mayhem in the second half.
The Stags stretched their lead to 18 points in the second half and never looked back from there, clinching the victory with a 21-point advantage.
With the win, San Sebastian improved to a 5-3 slate, while the Generals spiraled downwards a 1-8 win-loss slate.
Alvin Capobres led the Golden Stags with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Allyn Bulanadi 14 markers. Rommel Calahat added 12 points and RK Ilagan finished with 11 markers, four assists and three rebounds in the win.
On the other hand, KrissGurtiza and JP Magullano finished with 16 and 12 points, respectively in a losing effort for the Generals.
