San Beda swept Lyceum and threw away their immaculate season after winning Game 2 of the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball Finals, 92-82, Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With the heroics of Robert Bolick, San Beda clinched their 21st championship title and their 10th seniors basketball title in 12 years.

Bolick exploded in the fourth quarter, where he was needed the most, firing seven points in the final five minutes of the game to keep the Red Lions afloat with a comfortable lead, 89-82.

The crowd went wild as he capped off the match with a dagger three in the last 50 seconds of the game, leaving the hapless Lyceum behind.

“Lyceum did a good job. Kung pwede lang magbigay ng dalawang championship, kami ng Lyceum ang champion,” Bolick said.

Bolick finished with 18 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Davon Potts had 15 points and five rebounds for his last game in his collegiate career.

Finals MVP Donald Tankoua had a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds and Javee Mocon added 14 points and six rebounds.

“Lyceum really wanted to win this game, pero sobrang excited nila (San Beda). Good thing we settled down in the second half, so I give credit to my boys,” said coach Boyet Fernandez, who won his third title with the school.

On the other hand, season MVP CJ Perez powered Lyceum with 22 points, five assists, four rebounds, three steals and a block in the losing effort as they ended the season as a runner-up.
