Jose Rizal University leaned on its reserves to notch its first win of the NCAA Season 100 Men’s Basketball Tournament, as it took down San Sebastian 90-74 on Wednesday at the FilOil-EcoOil Centre.

The second unit of the Heavy Bombers were instrumental in their maiden victory, snapping a three-game losing skid in the process.

Marvin Raymundo had a breakout game for JRU, notching a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, and also flexed his defensive prowess with his three blocks and a steal. His free throws gave them the biggest lead at 19, 87-68 with 2:42 remaining to seal the win.

Mart Barrera then displayed his efficiency by hitting for 70% from the field (7/10), including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc to finish with 18 points.
