NU forces sudden death match against FEU after blowout win #UAAP77

The championship series between Far Eastern University and National U will be going down the wire after the Bulldogs defeated the Tamaraws in a blowout 62-47 in Game 2.

The Bulldogs has been in control throughout the game and has secured the lead as early as the opening quarter and was able to keep it all the way through.

Led by recently-named Most Impoved Player awardee Troy Rosario, the Bulldogs went all-out and has led as much as 16 points.

NU has also took control in the major statistical categories outrebounding FEU 58-39. The Bulldogs also showed they can share the ball with a total of 10 assists compared to FEU’s 8.

The Tamaraws can’t seem to find their rhythm from the field and they caught themselves struggling and has shot only 28.8%.

The Bustillos-based cagers was led by Troy Rosario who went commando with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Graduating player Glenn Khobuntin also added 17 markers, while point guard Gelo Alolino went clutch with 12 points including a pair of dagger treys in the last 2 minutes that secured NU the W.

FEU, on the other hand, made a huge run in the late minutes of the game that cut the lead as low as 6 points but was never enough as NU went full throttle in the dying minutes.

The Tamaraws was led by the duo of Mac Belo and Mike Tolomia who had 17 and 15 points respectively.

A new champion will be crowned next week as these two teams will be facing each other in a sudden death Game 3 on Wednesday at the MOA Arena.
