After an intensifying game against Lyceum of Philippines University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights’ Jerrick Balanza showed that the wall of Intramuros is still standing strong and will continue to clinch their way to the title.

Letran’s forward took a nine-month hiatus from basketball due to his surgery but despite that, he still emerged as the highest scorer for the Knights of Intramuros in their first game of the season.

With a slow-paced game showed by Balanza in the first half, Head Coach, Bonnie Tan wasn’t thrilled by what he saw and was hoping that in Letran’s future games, Balanza together with Batillier who is recovering from his shoulder injury, will create a more solid performance in their upcoming games.

“Ang tagal niyang na-lay off e, almost nine months. Si Batillier naman, kare-recover lang from his shoulder injury. Four months naman siyang nag-stop. So, hopefully,maka-bounce back yung dalawa sa next game,” said Coach Bonnie.

CSJL’s next game will be against Arellano University on July 12, Friday, Filoil Flying V Arena, San Juan.
