Cameroonian big man Alfred Aroga has been all over the court in Game 3 of their championship series against FEU making him a no-brainer on the Finals MVP award.
The first year big man has been emotional knowing their championship run didn’t come easy after going through a lot of crucial games in the postseason.
“I’m so happy. We passed though a lot. We came from really far,” said Aroga. The Bulldogs has been on the 4th spot in the Final Four and has won 5 of their 5 do-or-die games this season.
“At the beginning, I thought we could not make it. We had a lot of rookies, but we kept on working hard, our defense, keep on trusting and respecting each other, and stay humble,” said the 6’9″ center.
Aroga also shared the key to his game despite missing the past season due to some issues on residency.
“I always put humility in everything I do. Humility and respect is the key to everything,” he said.
In dominating fashion, he posted 24 points, 18 rebounds, and 2 blocks coming off the bench that made him the top pick for the Finals MVP award. True to his word, Alfred stayed humble getting his award.
“Honestly, I have never thought of being MVP or Mythical Five. That’s not important. The most important thing for me is to help my team get somewhere. That is what I want.”
Alfred has been one of the most consistent and dominating presence in the Bulldogs’ lineup. Now he has recieved the ultimate price of their hard work.
