FEU PULLS OFF A BOUNCE BACK WIN, KEEPS ADAMSON WINLESS

The FEU Lady Tamaraws swept the struggling Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-12, 25-19, 25-16, to get their first win in the UAAP season 79 women’s volleyball tournament, Wednesday at FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Coming off the opening game loss against La Salle, FEU displayed dominance in both offense and defense all throughout the match, tallying 38 attacks and 9 blocks as compared to the 22 attacks and 2 blocks of Adamson.
Bernadette Pons is the top scorer for the Lady Tams with 15 points with Remy Palma and Chin Basas contributing 13 and 9 points respectively. While no Lady Falcon once again had a double-digit score as ace spiker Jema Galanza was limited to just 8 points.
FEU moves up to 1-1 win-loss record together with Ateneo while Adamson has yet to win a set and a game this season.
