FEU gets twice-to-beat advantage in win over DLSU #UAAP77

The FEU Tamaraws is now one win away for a Finals comeback after defeating defending champions La Salle Green Archers 65-60 in a playoff for 2nd spot and twice-to-beat advantage last night at the MOA Arena.

Led by their two leading scorers Mike Tolomia and Mac Belo, the Tamaraws have been in charge for most of the game.

DLSU started to get hot late in the 3rd quarter with Almond Vosotros taking charge hitting 4 three-pointers that gave the Archers a chance to tie the game at 50-all. But Tolomia answered with a buzzer beating trey that gave the lead back to FEU.

The game started to turn around in the 4th quarter. The Archers got the lead 60-58 for the first time in the game with under 4 minutes in the final canto but The Tamaraws answered back with 5 straight points from Tolomia and Cruz that gave FEU the lead once again.

Jeron Teng, who has been struggling in the game, commited crucial turnovers during crunch time that eventually led to him fouling out in the final seconds of the game. He finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

Jason Perkins led the Archers with 15 points & 13 rebounds. Hot-shooting guard Almond Vosotros also contributed with 13 points.

Mike Tolomia is on top of the statsheets with his 19 points & 8 rebounds. Mac Belo also dominated with his 15 points and 10 rebounds.
