The University of Perpetual Help swept the struggling Arellano University, 68-59 on Tuesday to snap their losing skid in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

“Dalawang sunod natalo kami kaya mahirap. Kailangan talagang ipanalo itong game para naman makabawi kami, especially ‘yung from game against Letran,” said Coach Jimwell Gican.

Eze led Perpetual Help with 43 percent shooting from the field and limited Arellano with just 29 percent in shooting as he finished with game-high double-double record of 23 points, 21 rebounds and five blocks.

Ylagan had 11 points and eight rebounds, while Gab Dagangon added 10 points and six rebounds.

Perpetual was down by two players as Daryl Singontiko and Flash Sadiwa as they are still suffering injuries from their team practice.

Kent Salado took the team on his shoulders and finished with 14 points.

Perpetual is up to a 3-4 slate in the team standings as Arellano fell to their fourth consecutive defeat and down to 2-5.

Perpetual Altas will face the San Beda Red Lions on Thursday, while Arellano Chiefs will take on the San Beda as well on Tuesday, August 22.
