FEU started flat in the first set as NU quickly built an early 7-2 lead. Chin Basas’ service aces helped the Lady Tamaraws to tie the game, 7-all, but the Lady Bulldogs responded right away and maintained the lead towards the end of the first set.

FEU almost had the second set in their pocket with another stunning late rally that turned the table around from a 15-20 deficit to a 23-all deadlock. The Lady Tamaraws extended the set, but they were unsuccessful this time as Chin Basas committed an attack error.
However, the Lady Bulldogs crumbled in the third and fourth framesas Bernadette Pons and Chin Basas took over for FEU. The tandem of Pons and Basas produced 18 and 16 markers respectively for the Lady Tamaraws.
It was Risa Sato who topscored for NU with 14 points as Jaja Santiago was held down to just 13 markers.
FEU continued to be NU’s kryptonite, boasting a five-game winning streak against the Lady Bulldogs dating back to the UAAP Season 78.
